QuickRad Terms & Conditions
Use of QuickRad
The access and use of QuickRad, quickrad.ca, its data and information, or any of its affiliated websites, programs, or services (hereinafter collectively referred to as “QuickRad”) by any person(s) or entity (hereinafter referred to as “the User”) is completely voluntary, and is the sole responsibility of the User. The User assumes all responsibility and any liability associated with their use of QuickRad. The User agrees to use QuickRad according to its intended use. Any unauthorized use of QuickRad is strictly prohibited and may result in the immediate suspension of any party affiliated with the aforementioned violation. QuickRad reserves the right to ban, suspend and/or refuse service to any person(s) or entities, at the sole discretion of QuickRad and its operations team, for any unauthorized use, including but not limited to general misconduct, harassment, fraud, spam, use of automated ‘bots’, violent or aggressive conduct or behaviour, illegal activity, commercial advertising, unsolicited marketing or promotion of products or services, or breaches of privacy. By using QuickRad, the User agrees to the QuickRad terms and conditions outlined within QuickRad Guidelines. QuickRad reserves the right to ban, suspend and/or refuse service to any person(s) or entities, at the sole discretion of QuickRad and its operations team, for any violations of the QuickRad Guidelines, without notice. QuickRad reserves the right to modify, change, or update the QuickRad terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
Copyright and Distribution
Upon submission of content to QuickRad or any of its programs, websites, or affiliated platforms, including quickrad.ca, (hereinafter collectively referred to as “QuickRad”), the submission author(s) grants irrevocable permission to QuickRad to publish, display, reproduce, store, and reuse the content, indefinitely. Submission authors and all users of QuickRad must comply with all copyright licenses, including but not limited to Creative Commons, and any third-party licenses or notices. QuickRad or its affiliates will not be held liable for copyright infringement related to the submission, or use of content displayed on QuickRad. QuickRad reserves the right to remove published or displayed content from any of its platforms at the sole discretion of QuickRad and its affiliates, without notice to the original author(s) of the content.
Plagiarism and Academic Integrity
All content submitted to QuickRad must comply with the following policies:
Original Content
QuickRad publishes only original and authentic content. Content submission authors are responsible for ensuring that their submitted content complies with all of the terms, conditions, and policies outlined within the QuickRad Guidelines. By submitting content to QuickRad, submission authors thereby confirm the authenticity of the content, and confirm the content, in its entirety, to be original content. Content submitted to QuickRad must not have been plagiarized from other works, in any language. Any attempt to present previously published content as the submission author’s original work constitutes plagiarism, and is in violation of QuickRad terms and conditions. Plagiarism of any kind, including but not limited to, the unauthorized appropriation, wrongful purloining, or deceptive duplication or reproduction of other content, is strictly prohibited within any QuickRad domain, including any of its affiliated programs and platforms. Submissions of content to QuickRad must not contain any content which has been submitted for publication elsewhere.
Falsification, Fabrication, and Misrepresentation of Content
Any falsification, fabrication, or misrepresentation of original content, data, images, or work is considered a direct violation of QuickRad terms and conditions. Any deceptive misrepresentation or manipulation of information or data is strictly prohibited within any QuickRad domain, or on any affiliated platforms. QuickRad reserves the right to reject, remove, or destroy any content submitted to QuickRad, including published content, without notice. By submitting content to QuickRad, submission authors confirm that the submitted content does not violate any of the QuickRad terms and conditions, as outlined within QuickRad Guidelines. QuickRad will not be held liable for any violations of the aforementioned terms.
Programs
Participation in the QuickRad Radiology Creator Program and QuickRad Residency (hereinafter “QuickRad Programs”) is completely voluntary, and free of charge. Participation in QuickRad Programs does not establish any membership, or employment relationship with QuickRad or its affiliates. Submission of summaries and content via QuickRad Programs is voluntary, and does not guarantee acceptance or approval for publication on quickrad.ca or any QuickRad-affiliated platforms. Summary submissions are reviewed and evaluated by QuickRad or its affiliates using a standardized criteria, which is subject to change without notice. By submitting content via QuickRad Programs, you thereby agree to the terms and conditions outlined in QuickRad Guidelines. Summary submission authors forfeit any right to decisions regarding submitted or accepted content, or any executive duties associated with QuickRad and QuickRad Programs. QuickRad and its affiliates reserve the right to reject submissions for any reason, including but not limited to violations of the terms and conditions of QuickRad Guidelines, changes to the selection criteria, or for any other reason deemed appropriate by QuickRad or its affiliates. Participants in QuickRad Programs forfeit the right to compensation of any kind for summary submissions, including submissions accepted for publication on quickrad.ca or other QuickRad-affiliated platforms. Summary submission authors agree to be credited for their work according to QuickRad Guidelines, which may include displaying the summary author’s full name on quickrad.ca and QuickRad-affiliated platforms, and forfeit any right to additional credit or attribution of any kind. QuickRad and its affiliates reserve the right to present published summaries according to the format, style, or appearance deemed appropriate by QuickRad or its affiliates, including the use of identification markers on published summaries to indicate its affiliation with QuickRad Programs. In accordance with QuickRad Guidelines and its applicable privacy policy, the collection, use, and disclosure of participants personal information will be limited to information that is necessary for the purpose of providing QuickRad Programs and other QuickRad services. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited when submitting content to QuickRad, QuickRad Programs, or any of its affiliated platforms. QuickRad reserves the right to reject submitted content, remove existing or published content, and terminate participants’ access to QuickRad, QuickRad Programs, or any of its affiliated services, if a submission is found to violate QuickRad Guidelines, without notice. QuickRad reserves the rights to modify, change, or update these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice, at the sole discretion of QuickRad and its affiliates. You must agree to the aforementioned terms and conditions before submitting content via QuickRad Programs. By submitting content via QuickRad Programs, you thereby agree to the terms and conditions outlined above.
The information presented on QuickRad and its affiliated platforms is meant for educational and informational purposes only. QuickRad, and any affiliated service, is not a substitute for medical advice, treatment, diagnosis, or care provided by a qualified healthcare provider.
Liability
QuickRad, any affiliated entity, and each person, if any, who is affiliated with QuickRad or involved in the creation, management, or operation of QuickRad (hereinafter collectively referred to as “QuickRad”), will not be subject to any liability associated with the content submitted, approved, published, displayed, stored, reproduced, copied, or reused by QuickRad, or any of its affiliated, contributors, participants, or users. QuickRad assumes no responsibility or liability for any violation of the QuickRad Guidelines or Terms and Conditions, or any misconduct of any of its affiliates, contributors, or participants. Whereas QuickRad attempts to select and approve only authentic, and original content for display or publication, there may be instances in which QuickRad is unable to recognize plagiarized, fraudulent, or unauthorized content submissions. QuickRad will not be subject to any liability associated with the content submission approval process, including but not limited to the approval, display, or publication of content which is not in fact authentic, or original. QuickRad QuickRad may display or contain links to third-party websites, resources, or content. Visitors of quickrad.ca, and users of QuickRad services, assume all responsibility associated with the use of, or redirection to any third-party content, links, websites, or services, including but not limited to unauthorized access of personal information, loss or property or theft, and damage incurred via viruses or malware. QuickRad is not responsible for any loss or damage incurred by the use of QuickRad, or any of its affiliated services, including but not limited to any third-party content, websites, or malware. Contributors, submission authors, participants, users, and visitors of QuickRad and its affiliated websites or services, assume any and all liability associated with their use of QuickRad. QuickRad shall not be held liable for any violations of its terms and conditions, by any entity affiliated with QuickRad, including but not limited to any person involved in the creation, management, or operation of QuickRad. Any liability associated with the use of QuickRad, its website or affiliated services, will be limited solely to the person(s) or entity using QuickRad, visiting its website, or participating in its services.
